Eligibility Guidance

Helping students understand eligibility requirements for studying abroad from Pakistan effectively and efficiently.

1. Academic Requirements

• Undergraduate Programs:

  • Minimum 60% marks in Intermediate (FA/FSc/ICS).

  • Some universities may accept lower scores with foundation programs.

  • O/A Levels equivalent certificates from IBCC.

• Postgraduate Programs:

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 2.5 CGPA or equivalent.

  • For competitive programs, a higher GPA (3.0+) is preferred.

  • Relevant academic background for the chosen field.

• PhD Programs:

  • Master’s or MPhil degree in a relevant field.

  • Research proposal and strong academic references.

2. English Language Proficiency

• IELTS/TOEFL:

  • IELTS: 5.5 to 7.0 (varies by program and university).

  • TOEFL: 80+ (internet-based test).

• Alternatives:

  • MOI (Medium of Instruction): Many universities accept proof of English-medium education instead of IELTS.

  • Other tests: PTE, Duolingo (accepted in certain institutions).

3. Financial Requirements

• Proof of Funds:

  • Show sufficient funds to cover tuition fees, accommodation, and living expenses.

  • Common documents: Bank statement (6 months), property documents, sponsor letters.

• Sponsor:

  • A valid sponsor (parent/guardian) with verifiable income proof.

4. Travel History

• A strong travel history to countries like UAE, Turkey, Malaysia, etc., can strengthen your visa application (not mandatory).

5. Age Criteria

• Undergraduate programs: Typically 16-24 years.

• Postgraduate programs: No strict age limit but recent education/work experience is an advantage.

6. Language/Academic Tests (Optional)

• GRE/GMAT: Required for some postgraduate programs in countries like the USA or Canada.

• SAT: For undergraduate programs in the USA or competitive scholarships.

7. Visa Requirements

• Valid passport with a minimum of 6 months before expiry.

• Academic transcripts and certificates.

• Visa application form and supporting documents.

8. Health and Insurance

• Meet the medical fitness requirements of the destination country.

• Obtain health insurance (mandatory in most countries).

9. Application Timelines

• Apply at least 6-12 months before the intake date.

10. Specific Country Requirements

• UK:

  • MOI English or IELTS 5.5+.

  • Low deposit universities available.

• Europe:

  • No IELTS for many universities.

  • Low tuition fees in public universities.

• Australia:

  • Strong academic background required.

  • IELTS/PTE scores preferred.
